THRILLING RACE

At Binetto track the show is the winner. But above all the sport is the winner, the one that loves the on track races of the Polini Italian Cup. The best values written and interpreted by the “riders” that like enjoying and showing their talent and their passion.
From the kart tracks of the first races to a class circuit as the one in Binetto is gave a further injection of spectacularity to the Polini Italian Cup. The presence of a long straight and wide range bends smoothed the performance, maintaining the same hierarchies of the previous race.

EVOLUTION OPEN 70 SCOOTER TROPHY

This is the cathegory which the best riders with the best tuned-up scooters take part in and, in this fourth race too, it reserved nice surprises. Matteo Tiraferri lost the invincibility, and, in Race1, he had to be content with a third place. Compared to other races, this wasn’t a personal duel with the team-mate Filippo Corsi, because Rocco Ripepi entered the challenge and showed how much he felt at ease with the wide range bends of this circuit. After reaching the head of the race at the beginning of the last lap of Race1, Tiraferri fell down at the small hairpin bend which betrayed many competitors. After re-saddling up , he succeeded in coming third, after Corsi and Ripepi, thanks to the considerable margin he gained during the 11 laps. In the second run, the three riders gave the encore, but with no ending coup de théâtre, finishing in this order: Tiraferri, Ripepi, Corsi.

BIG EVOLUTION OPEN 94 SCOOTER TROPHY

If the “70 evolution open” offered a very interesting show, the “94 Big Evolution Open” reserved quite the same thrilling performance. During the two races, six riders composed the head of the race and nobody wanted to give up. Race 1 ended with the victory of Federico Ciacci, followed by Giuseppe Longo and Yulien Enzo Vitali, while in Race2 the podium went to Vitali, Giannoni and Del Sorbo.

70 EVOLUTION SCOOTER TROPHY

As for the one brand trophy, reserved to the scooters tuned with the Polini kit, the final result was affected, in both meetings, by a collective fall of the leading men. During the first run, the first three riders were involved in a slip and the final result, with Filippo Tognarelli, Alessandro Garzaro and Paolo Nardo, has been determined by the speed in resaddling and restarting. The following race could have been settled in a four-rider sprint, but the contact between Tognarelli and Garzaro gave the go ahead to Angelo Fontana and Carlo Luigi Gurrieri, who crossed the line with 17 cents of gap only.

70 EVOLUTION AMATEURS SCOOTER TROPHY

Only a few races were enough to the most promising riders of the Amateurs class to get the needed sensibility and efficacy to measure themselves at high level. In Binetto, Matteo Carinci showed to feel at ease racing, even if he had not shined at the class. He gained two first places, beating in sprint Stefano Scribano before and Elia Angeli then, with quite the same gaps, near 37 cents.

ONE BRAND LML TROPHY

As for the 4Str Star, made suitable for track competitions through the use of a specific Polini carburetor, long trans of riders, fighting for the head of the run, were expected On the contrary, the fight for the victory was determined, in both races, by one rider only. Filippo Giorgini standed out with a considerable gap in both runs, leaving Pasquale Rivetti no options but the second place. The tird places went respectively to Maurizio Bottalico and Luigi Piscitelli.

HOT THRILLS

MAXI SCOOTER NATIONAL TROPHY 2011

Binetto hosted the third trial of the Maxi Scooter National Trophy, as it had already happened in Castelletto di Banduzzo in conjunction with the Polini Italian Cup. The forced absence of one of the favourites, Gianluca Rapicavoli, defending champion and winner of the 2009 title, who decided to leave off the competitions because of the bad fall occurred in Vallelunga, cleared the way for many pretenders to the title of the class reserved to the Supersport.
Marvin Mendogho hoped for the class win for longtime, bur a slide obliged him to look for the best possible placing and, in the end, he finished fourth in the class and by far sixth.
The Supersport went to Diego Guerra, by far third after the powerful and unapproachable Gilera GP 800 of Alessandro Blando and Dario Barzaghi, registered in the Superbike cathegory. Fabio Pintus won the Stock and leads
