The challenge for the victory was between the three Polini riders: Matteo Tiraferri, Filippo Corsi e Ricardo Arnes Carmona. The Spanish rider fought in both the races between the two Italian riders and, in the second race, after a strong scrimmage, he obliged the other two riders to make a mistake. Even if he was out of the results, Ricardo Arnes was able to show the great power for the Polini Big Evolution parts for the Minarelli engine, leaving the Piaggio Zip behind for the first time during the season. If Tiraferri was able to win Race 1, in Race 2 Arnes surprised them all. After fighting hand to hand during 2/3 of the race, Corsi fell off. At the end of the race even Tiraferri made an error, leaving Arnes alone towards the success. Simone Bartolino took advantage from this situation and he was third in race 2 and he was on the third step of the podium.
