If the first race in Vierbo was a great success for all the riders who entered the race, at Castelletto di Branduzzo the Polini Italian cup broke the record. During a sunny spring day the Polini Italian Cup summoned up almost 170 riders who filled up the paddock area in one of the most important tracks. 70

EVOLUTION OPEN SCOOTER TROPHY
First of all we would like to underline the incredible Matteo Tiraferri’s time of 1’18”853, one of the nineteenth riders who drove under 1’ and 19”. Between the Italian riders there were also the Spanish Ricardo Arnes Carmona and Pavel Gellner from Czeck Republic. In Race 1 Tiraferri found the race easy after Corsi and Blando’s withdrawal. Behind him Rocco Ripepi and Massimo Tedeschi who were protagonists of a very good race. Ripepi was one of the protagonists in Race 2 too; he was third and we was on the second step of the podium. Race 2 was more gripper than Race 1, with a very closed duel between Corsi and Tiraferri, while Blando didn’t start. At the end of the race the technical certifications confirmed the regularity of all the Polini scooters.

Alessandro Giacometti, who was leader in Viterbo, slipped at the end of both the races. The victory went to Filippo Giorgini, first and third and behind his back Michele Lettieri and Pasquale Rivetti. MAGIC PIT BIKE

Only the name is small, since the Pit Bike XP racing in both the Polini Italian Cup Trophies keep granting show and competitiveness beside their dimensions, that are 20% smaller than the same class bikes.  And they confirmed it once again during the second appointment with of the Polini Italian cup that took place in Castelletto di Branduzzo on April 17th.
Between the 18 riders riding the XP Polini 4Stoke bikes, 110cc or 125cc , 10 of them were grouped together into less than 1 second. If Bruno Rudy Moreschi was the fastest during the tests, during the races he only was second with 40 scores only, since Alessio Corneti was unbeatable, first from the beginning to the end of the race.
Corneti was also protagonist of a fall on the straight home that obliged to a new start in Race 1.

Castelletto_2011_10.jpg

In this class the hierarchy has been already well-established as demonstrated Carmine Napodano, third in Castelletto in both the races. With 20 riders at the starting grid, the “Open” class that includes the 150 4Stroke and the XP 65 2 Stroke was the most crowded and the hardest-fought trophy. The winner of the day, Guido Fulgoni, fought hard and his application was rewarded with a first and a second place. Devis Catellani, second and forth in the two races, went on the second step of the podium after a very hard day. Gioele Pellino was another protagonist of the day; he won Race 2 and he registered the best time in Race 1 but he fall at the end of the race.

MAXI EFFECT

Tested formula for the Maxi scooter Italian Trophy. Great Teams in the superbike class with very good riders. Great challenges even in the Supersport, Stock, Superstock classes.

A championship that looks even more beautiful, exciting, spectacular. A formation that see important names in the Supersport class. If the trials and the first position saw the supremacy of Alessandro Blando on his Gilera GP800 in the Superbike class, the “true” race was the one between Marvin Mendogho, Giovanni Gabrielli, Diego Guerra, Gianluca Rapicavoli ed Ermanno Bastianini. If Rapicavoli found this race hard, after Rapicavoli fall and the new start the race seemed to have a new spirit. Rapicavoli foud his usual rhythm and left Guerra, Gabrielli e Bastianini behind him, while Mendogho was sixth.
