SECOND ROUND OF THE POLINI ITALIAN CUP AT THE KARTODROM “COGIS KART” 05-04-2009IN CORRIDONIA

The Polini Italian Cup never ceases to amaze. After the first race at the beginning of March in Franciacorta (BS), the Italian championship for the Scooter 70 Evolution Trophy started out again on Sunday April 4th on the splendid track in Corridonia (MC).

A storm of emotions and great performance featured the races for the 70cc Evolution scooters equipped with Polini power units and PMT tires, to have all the riders at the same level and reduce the costs. Big protagonist of this trails was Daniele Picca who put on the table four aces arriving alone to the top. In Race 1 Picca imposed his supremacy, followed by Adriano Sisti and the Italian Champion Daniele Secchini. Behind the trio Stefano Manco, Simone Bartolini e Alessandro Frisoni.

At the end Picca won and Sisti accepted the second place. If Race 2 decreed Picca’s Triumph, it also have to be considered the coming back of Secchini at the top positions of the result. Sisti was third, and he was spectator of the duel for the first two steps of the podium.

Picca’s antagonist was Bartolini who at the end was obliged to raise the white flag and Picca was first at the checkered flag. Matteo Tiraferri’s performance was very good. The Polini scooter team’s official rider was canceled according to the Rules. On the first step of the podium went Picca, followed by Sisti and Bartolini. Next race of the Polini Italian Cup on May 3rd in Latina.

The second appointment with the three Polini Pit Bike Trophies showed a lot of exciting challenges.

In the XP 4T 110 Over Trophy Devis Castellani confirmed his makings of Champion. Dominator in Race 1, Catellani in race 2 after taking the head of the race fall down at the first lap. But he got into the saddle of his XP 4T 110 again and he started again being protagonist of a recovery and at the end of the race he was third.

Alessio Corneti and Cristian Rossi made a positive performance in Race1: the two were second and third. Jacopo Schiro was unlucky because he fell down at the forth lap when he was fighting for the first place. Corneti won Race2, followed by Rossy and the magic Catelanni. Mattia Golini was protagonist of the XP 4T 110 Under Trophy. In race1 Gollini immediately took the head of the race and won it. Michail Lamagni and Loris Tagliavini closed the race respectively in second and third position. Race 2 saw another winning of Gollini. The fight for the second step of the podium was between Lamagni and Nico Spallanzani. Lamagni managed to overtake his rival even if after the technical controls he was disqualified because an irregularity.Mattia Gollin was the big protagonist of the XP 4T 110 Under Trophy in Race1. In Race 1 and 2 big fight between Giovanni Ferdani and Roberto Bonomelli. Ferdani was first and Bnomelli second.
